Niven Howie A.C.E.

BAFTA and EMMY nominated picture editor Niven Howie, ACE, first established himself in his home city of London as a leading editor for high-end commercials and music videos having cut more than 400 such projects.

It was Niven’s edit of the award-winning film Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels for director Guy Ritchie that earned him his first BAFTA nomination and brought him to the attention of Hollywood.

Since making the move across the pond, he has edited a number of successful films including Zack Snyder’s Dawn of the Dead, Resident Evil: 3, 4 & 5, Death Race, Step Up: All In and several others.

Although now based in Los Angeles, he continues to work on British films including The Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy, Tube Tales, The Raven, Hurricane Heist and the TV series His Dark Materials.

In 2020 Niven was editor on the hugely successful Netflix series Shadow and Bone and he is shortly to embark on season 2.

He is member of the prestigious honorary society of motion picture editors, American Cinema Editors (ACE).
